IRNA - Esteqlal of Tehran will play a friendly
against the top German side Stuttgart, said an Esteqlal official
Saturday.
In his talks with IRNA, Esteqlal sports deputy added the Stuttgart`s sponsor, Mercedes Benz, has sent an invitation to his
club for dispatching its team to Germany for holding a week-long training camp and playing a friendly against the second-placed team
of Bundesliga.
Kamran Monzavi said Esteqlal has welcomed the invitation, adding that Stuttgart has fixed January 24, 2004 as the date for the
friendly.
The German club will accommodate 28 including players, coaches, and officials, and Iran`s Football Federation has agreed with the
request, said Esteqlal deputy.
